About the Practice
While all types of cancers are successfully treated by Southeastern Radiotherapy physicians, the unique thrust of the SRS practice has been the treatment and eradication of prostate cancer. At each of the treatment sites available for our patients, only the latest linear accelerator technology is employed including the most recent versions of IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy), and the supertargeting capabilities of IGRT (Image Guided Radiation Therapy). In addition, prostate patients benefit from the most conformal and precise therapy available on the market today, HDR, in the hands of one of the country’s leading practitioners of this technique.
Added to this is the mission and pledge of the entire staff at each of these facilities to deliver exceptional care to each and every patient. It begins with a thorough consultation that typically lasts 2 hours, far exceeding what most patients receive when seen at academic centers and high-volume, “factory-style” radiation facilities in the metro-Atlanta area. You will have every opportunity to converse in private with us to ensure that our recommendations and your case are understood in full. It continues with personal one-on-one interaction with the physician responsible for your care and the nursing staff handling your day-to-day needs. And it extends to the professional level as well with rapid, academically-minded correspondence with the physicians also involved in your care. Southeastern Radiotherapy is committed to see to it that this goal is met one patient at a time.
