Your Consultation

This is an opportunity for you to bring family, if desired, and meet with Dr. Lowther to discuss your case in depth, typically lasting 1-2 hours. We will call ahead to your referring physician, or in cases of self-referral your diagnosing physician, and all other points of contact (e.g., imaging centers where studies may have been done) for copies of your scans, pathology, and laboratory reports so as to streamline this consultation and maximize your time with the physician. Oftentimes, this will require that you personally ‘release’ information to us by signing a release form. We will let you know if this is the case and fax you the form to fill out ahead of time. There are other documents, such as patient history forms and insurance paperwork, that ideally will be filled out ahead of time and can be obtained by contacting our office prior to your visit.

Testing

In the event that after your consultation Dr. Lowther recommends further testing, arrangements will be made either locally for in-state patients or at home, if necessary, for out-of-state patients. Therefore, depending on the extent of your evaluation preceding your visit with us, you may or may not have a formal recommendation upon your completed consultation.

Formal recommendations are often at the conclusion of your consultation and are custom-designed for each individual based on their particular needs and desires.
